The Department of French Studies, Keele Campus, offers an interdisciplinary set of courses in the three curricular areas of French language, linguistics and literature. A sequence of language-skills courses with cultural content allows students to develop their proficiency in oral and written French. The core curriculum includes courses in French linguistics (syntax, semantics, phonetics and sociolinguistics) and literature (Francophone world, Youth Literature, and French-Canadian).
