Examine Greek history, language, literature and culture to learn about the place of contemporary Greece in today’s world.

Program Information

The Hellenic Studies program offers a coherent program of study in Greek history, language, literature, philosophy, art and culture from antiquity to the contemporary period with a focus on Modern Greece. Get connected to Toronto's vibrant Greek community through academic and social events, and have the opportunity to participate in the summer course on Modern Greek history in Athens and in exchange programs with universities in Greece.

The Program in Hellenic Studies is the only program in Ontario that can lead to a BA and is affiliated with the Hellenic Heritage Foundation Chair in Modern Greek History. The Program also offers specialization to the history of Greek immigration and diaspora.
