Explore a variety of subject areas within specific programs that you would like to learn more about before declaring a major.
The Undeclared Major option allows students to begin a first year of university study without having selected a program in which to major. Instead, students have the opportunity to take courses in a variety of programs and departments, allowing them to pursue interests, explore different areas of study, and develop strengths and academic skills while experiencing university-level study. Students are required to declare a major once they have completed 24 credits, usually at the end of their first year.
