York University ranked in top 5 for graduate employability

According to The Times Higher Education World University Rankings, local recruiters have ranked York University in the top five Canadian universities that prepare students for careers upon graduation.

The education and analytical thinking skills students gain in York's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies are essential for every career. Our faculty encourages graduates to become engaged citizens, ready for careers in a wide range of fields. The flexibility of program offerings within the faculty offers students an education in top-ranked professional fields and world-class social science and humanities disciplines.

This is embodied in the success of a recent graduate of the Human Resource Management program Kaitlyn Diilio. “York has many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom and build transferable skills,” she said. “These experiences are what helped me get hired immediately after graduation!” Diilio graduated in 2015 and currently works as a Volunteer Specialist at Humber River Hospital. This is an example of one among many of our outstanding alumni who have gone on to careers in a wide range of fields supported by their studies at York.

Surveys conducted also prove that Canadian universities maintain an excellent reputation with employers.
