Business and Society
Study the impact of business decisions on the larger society, and understand the correlation between economic decisions and social outcomes. You will benefit from a combination of philosophical, historical, economical, geographical, sociological and political approaches to business.
The Business and Society (BUSO) program provides students with the tools needed to study the relationship between business, the economy and society. Your courses will explore historical, social, scientific and ethical perspectives on the role of business in the world and analyze alternative models of business to those associated with traditional private enterprise. In addition to the core courses, students will have the opportunity specialize in either business ethics and corporate social responsibility, the environment, the firm and organization, the global economy, labour, law and governance, or the social economy.
